For Etsy sellers outside the US
Every US order now pays duty. Price it in before you ship.
Since 9 July 2026, Etsy makes non-US shops prepay US import duty on every order. Paste a listing and see its likely tariff code, the duty you'll pay, and the US price that keeps your profit where it was.
- 29 Aug 2025The US ends duty-free entry for small parcels from every country.
- 9 Jul 2026Etsy requires non-US sellers to prepay US duty (DDP) and build it into US prices.
- 24 Jul 2026The 10% Section 122 surcharge ends and a 10% Section 301 tariff replaces it for most countries (12.5% for China).
- 22 Aug 2026A 50% Section 338 tariff starts on some Canadian-made goods.
Coming next: the DutyReady extension
Stop retyping US prices one listing at a time.
Etsy doesn't let outside apps set US prices, so most tools can't help. DutyReady works inside your own Etsy listing editor, in your own browser, and only changes a price when you click.
Classify every listing
Suggests a tariff code for each product with a confidence score and the reason, and you confirm it.
Price every variation
Works out duty, carrier fees and Etsy's fee on the higher price, then fills all your US prices at once.
Get tariff alerts
When a US rate changes, you get an email with the listings affected and new suggested prices.
Check what you paid
Upload your label invoices each month to compare estimated duty with what you were charged.

Less than one lost US order a month.

Questions
What sellers ask
Why can't I just keep my price and absorb the duty?
You can, but duty is charged on the price the buyer pays, and Etsy's fees also apply to it. On a 20% duty item, leaving the price alone means losing about a fifth of the sale before fees. The checker shows exactly how much.
Doesn't Etsy already have a tariff calculator?
Etsy is testing one, but it doesn't put the duty into your price, doesn't handle variations, and you still retype each US price by hand. DutyReady does the pricing for every listing and variation at once.
How accurate are the tariff codes?
They are suggestions to check, not customs advice. Each one links to the official US tariff schedule so you can confirm it. A wrong code means a wrong duty, so the extension always asks you to confirm before it uses one.
Will the extension break Etsy's rules?
It only works in your own shop, in your own signed-in browser, and only changes a price when you click. It doesn't read other shops or run anything in the background.
What if US tariffs change again?
They have changed four times in a year. Paid plans watch for changes and email you new suggested prices for the listings affected.
I'm a US seller shipping to Europe. Can I use this?
The EU ended its €150 duty-free limit on 1 July 2026, and each product type in a parcel now pays €3. Our free EU €3 duty checker shows what your parcels pay. EU pricing is planned for the Studio plan.
